Bringing Hope and Humanity to Phoenix’s Homeless Community

Founded 20 years ago by Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame kicker Nick Lowery, Champions for the Homeless is a compassionate initiative under the Nick Lowery Foundation.

Partnering with St. Vincent de Paul, this program has organized more than 75 super celebrity volunteer events, serving over 100,000 homeless men and women with essential support and a real sense of community. By distributing meals, clothing, and gift cards — and by showing genuine care — Champions for the Homeless brings a human face to those experiencing homelessness.

Nick Lowery’s dedication through this foundation not only meets immediate needs, but also delivers a powerful message of love, hope, and belonging to individuals who often feel marginalized. With the increasing number of people without homes in Maricopa County, the impact of these events has become even more significant — offering vital assistance and reaffirming that everyone matters in the fabric of society.
